Marty,

This sounds like a lot of fun. I'll throw my page into the ring for
sure.

Randy,

I knew when you first used your "Letterbox Quotient", it would blow
everyone else away. But hey.. who's counting?

As we used to say (scream) in my (all male) college of some years
back ....

Road Trip!!!

[L-USA] Letterboxing Web Ring

From: Marty Chamberlain (martyc@cyberdude.com) | Date: 1999-05-26 15:27:18 UTC-04:00
Hi group! I thought the web ring was such a great idea that I've gone
ahead and set one up. The idea is that if you have a web site that
features letterboxing (in most any sense), we can all link the sites
together so that people can browse through them easily.

If you have a letterboxing-related web site, and you'd like to be in the
ring, please e-mail me the URL of the site. Once your site is added to the
ring, you'll just have to put a little piece of HTML code on your page to
facilitate browsing around the ring.

After I've got the initial group of site on the ring, I'll set up an
automatic form on the ring homepage to allow easier submission of web sites.

Thanks,
Marty

Web rings are a interesting idea. I found a site called (duh)

http://www.webring.com/

It'll make browsing very interesting.

So will there still be a way to find Letter -boxes according to states? Forgive me I still live in the land of Widows 3.1 and 486's. (except when I'm at work.)

Marty, thanks for setting up a letterboxing webring. I registered a
letterboxing webring with www.webring.org awhile back but never had
the time to get all the details going myself. When you get your
registration page set up, do you mind if I redirect hits to mine
over to yours until I have the time to look into de-registering mine.

Thx

Randy, that's perfectly fine with me...redirect them to:

http://www.geocities.com/rainforest/canopy/7962/webring.htm

I've got the submission process all set up...and the HTML fragment for the
navigation bar. All that's left is to add sites!

You can specify a URL to a photo in your e-groups profile. I didn't
realize that it showed up on posts, though!
